AETHER 0.48.30 Patch Notes

Hello Adventurers!

In this update, we’ve focused on enhancing your gameplay experience with significant UI improvements across the Deck Builder and Ranked, Casual, and Practice mode windows. Now, navigating your collection is much easier and you now can explore every card in the game without leaving Deck Builder.

We’re excited to introduce a long-awaited feature in the Deck Builder: the ability to import and export decks! Easily share your favorite deck compositions with fellow players or try out new strategies from the community.

We’ve also addressed a variety of bugs, especially in card interactions, to ensure smoother gameplay. Additionally, we’ve revamped aura mechanics to prevent stacking, enhancing game balance and strategy.

To improve your experience, we’ve added the option to set an FPS cap, improving stability and overall game performance.

Finally, we’ve implemented various balance changes, including a significant change to The Progenitor. Stay tuned to see how these adjustments shape the meta!

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where attempting to play a card that couldn’t be played resulted in an empty space on the board from the creature.
  • Flame Kissed should no longer be able to target creatures with Twilight Cloak.
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect display of MMR changes upon defeat and when at 0.
  • Fixed a bug where Dash could die before its ability caused the opponent to discard a card when interacting with Reflect.
  • Fixed a game freeze issue when dealing the final blow in rare cases.

  • Fixed a bug where Slumber from Roaming Mountain could last longer than one turn in some cases.
  • Fixed various UX issues in Deck Builder
  • Fixed an issue with Bow of Punishment not granting a card upon creature kill.
  • Fixed an issue with truncated texts in tooltips in the tutorial.

Features & Gameplay

  • Abilities of Aureon and Tergy’s companions now permanently kill all creatures, even if they have Reincarnate.
  • Now time is added to the timer for the player’s actions for the compensation of animation length.
  • Auras and effects of the same type obtained from different sources no longer stack.
  • Auras now begin affecting creatures that lose the Twilight Cloak effect immediately upon its loss.
  • Tormentor’s Flame now consumes a charge and triggers before Vortex Helmet.
  • When a player draws 2 cards with Echo in a row, the second one is sent to their hand instead of being played.
  • Lord of Torment aura now recalculates immediately upon creature destruction on the board by spells.
  • Reflect will no longer target creatures that are already dead.
  • AoE effects now occur simultaneously

Quality of Life

  • We are updating the rewards in the referral system, fine-tuning them, and adding new packs to the rewards. All players who previously earned and unclaimed rewards will receive them upon the update.
  • Reduced hitbox size for card sacrifice area to prevent accidental usage.
  • Reworked AFK penalty and notification when a player receives punishment for attempting to enter the queue.
  • Added a disconnection message for players in the queue.
  • Added default FPS cap to the game, as well as settings to change it.
  • Accelerated numerous animations.
  • Mass spells are now prohibited from being used on an opponent’s empty board.
  • Buffs of the same type in tooltips are no longer displayed multiple times.
  • Target selection arrow spells now trigger with a single click instead of two.
  • Reworked report submission system: fixed a bug with display of report types when selecting from dropdown menu, prohibited submission of empty reports.
  • Added full card description to tooltip upon zooming in.
  • Improved card tooltips layout
  • The Maintenance mode has been enhanced; players in battle now have 10 minutes to finish the match during scheduled maintenance.

User Interface

  • Updated Ranked, Casual, Practice UI.

Deckbuilder rework and Deck Codes feature

  • Introducing an advanced Deck Code system! Players can now generate unique codes for their decks, enabling easy sharing with others. Additionally, players can import decks shared by fellow players, fostering a vibrant community exchange of strategies and deck compositions.
  • The Deck Builder interface now displays the entire spectrum of cards available in the game, offering players a comprehensive view of all potential options, regardless of ownership status.
  • Added filter for showing only owned/not owned/shadow/NFT cards.
  • Cards no longer possessed by players are preserved within their decks but are visibly marked as unavailable. This ensures that players maintain a clear overview of their deck’s composition, even if certain cards are temporarily inaccessible.
  • Cards in decks are now interchangeable. If the card is missing for any reason and the player got another instance of the same card, it will automatically replace the missing card.
  • Added timer showing time left for shadow cards
  • Added a card counter to provide information about the number of cards player possess.
  • Decks are now marked if they contain any unavailable cards. There will be a hint on the deck, explaining what’s wrong with the deck and how to fix that.

André Bonaventure

  • Tempest Surge

  • OLD: Start of your turn: apply Shock to a random opponent creature.

  • Aether Lockdown

  • OLD: Once per match, when both players reach their maximum Aether of 5 or more, Aether gain and abilities are disabled for 3 rounds. Additionally, Andre applies Shock to all opponent creatures.

  • NEW: Once per match, when both players reach their maximum Aether of 5 or more, Aether gain and abilities are disabled for 3 rounds. André gets out of this effect first. Additionally, André applies Shock to all opponent creatures.

Adair

  • Call of the Wild
  • OLD: End of your turn: return two creatures with the lowest health to your hand in its default state, reducing its cost by 2. These creatures lose the next Debut effect, if they had one. Never return Guardians or Twilight Cloak.

Death Maiden
